How has technology changed your job?
To be honest, i have watched a prediction from a hippy in the 90′ s play out to a t.
Whilst i was still an active US Marine, i got into building websites. One of my tutors (the insightful hippy) predicted that the technology that would unfold due to the internet, would be abused by big companies.
He advised that the small business would be pushed out of their market places and/or gobbled up by multinationals. Peoples jobs would be replaced by software and that these large faceless entities would try and do away with things like cash as they push us to pay with credit to keep us subsurvient.
I have watched, over the past 20 years , the place i work my day job, get rid of half our workforce and raise our prices. They continue their march onward with new tech, all the while embracing less paid staff, less pensions, less, less…
Yet nobody says a thing, as they are in too much debt to risk speaking out.
I’m not though, so f**k em’! This is what has helped me create my Dookie books. He fights these injustices and more! The plight of the little man has a new hero… DOOKIE!!
He helps the under paid and abused working classes fight for a better standard of living, plus so much more! And he does it with a lot of guns, ammo and cheese burgers too!!!
