What are your morning rituals? What does the first hour of your day look like?
As young US Marines we were woken with the sound of the bugle calling out reveille. We’d jump up and into action; get dressed, quick run or gym time, chow down some breakfast and then wait with bated breath for the call of the morning colours for the star and stripes to be hoisted high for the day. And so our day would begin!
Now, i reckon much like my fellow retired Devil Dog, the VP JD Vance, i still wake to the sound of reveille being played on my phones alarm. Except i now crawl out of bed, scratch my balls, go hunt and gather bacon and the precious gift from a local chickens multi-functional butthole and cook up a good carnivore breakfast.
Then i swan off with my 80 year old dad to a coffee shop, where i’m sadly forced to drink tea instead of a lovely Americano, because my body gave up allowing me the little pleasures in mid-life, like coffee! We rant about the state of our messed up little island being pumbled into the ground as it is by ‘stompin starma‘, then go for some fresh air.
Every now and then, i make it back home to write a novel or two too. Like Dookie 4, thats just been released online and has its official launch on april 15th.
