List three books that have had an impact on you. Why?
Well this isn’t gonna be hard is it.
First off, the book that has meant the most to me is of course, Dookie: a colourful life. This book was the ‘boom’ moment for me. Even as i was writing it, i knew it was gonna be something nobody has read before.
It shouts from the roof tops – ‘f^ck you world!’ However, It is, above all else, just a book about a guy whose trying to do the right thing but loses everything, including his son (to the kidnapping Northerners). But as we know, the big bosses and politicians don’t want us doing our right! They want their power and their money! So he and his misfit buddies take on all manner of demonic butthole dwelling demons as they fight for freedom against CEO’s, the Pope and even the leader of the North, Tumpytump. But does his get his boy back??

No2 on my list is Dookie 2: World war 3 and the hunt for sausage.
Getting one book published traditionally is hard these days, but getting 2 bites at of the cherry was amazing. After the success of Dookie 1 and the positive feed back, i went more nuts, more vulga, more violent (but silly violent not nasty) and grew my characters and story into something even more special.

No3 is a toss up between my first comic and Dookie 3 of course. I guess D3 really as its a proper book, so it keeps to question.
So, in D3 we go kinda ‘mad max’ vs ‘south park’. Lots of mental fights as my readers now expect, but the big fun in this one, for me at least, was introducing some new characters. Top of the list has to be The Hippy Jesus and his companion The Unholy Ghost. These guys helped me take the surreal humour to a new level of bizarro entertainment for sure.
