Who are your favorite artists?
Look at us, getting all artsy-fartsy eh. Lol.
I guess i have always been into art in its different forms. As a child (about 10) i redesigned our family garden to include a koi pond for a destination piece, shrubbery, a new green house, etc. Then i moved on to cartoons stuff! I still love Carlos Ezquerra’s work on judge dredd for example.
But just to show i have a bit of range, i really like some of Jackson Pollock’ art as well as my old favorite, Picasso.
The art in the Dookie comics is heavily infuenced by a french cartoonist, Mobeius. My comic book partner Dave loves his work so does his best to pay him some hommage. I think he does a fab job too!
So, i know its not art, but i have included a video of a reading i did back in 2023 from the first official Dookie book launch for you guys to watch. If you like it, i’ll put some more up.
I’m in fact thinking of adding a video element to these posts as a regular thing. Thought i’d do some quick book readings and wild character bio’s etc.. You know, just have a bit Dookie fun with it!
