How do significant life events or the passage of time influence your perspective on life?
I’ve had some pretty big moments in life and yeah, they shape how i think about sh!t for sure.
I mean, i aint gonna go into details here (but you’ll get the drift from my books!) But i experienced a loss a long time back and it defo altered my world view and how money and power bring influence to help control narratives for even the most depraved f*ck knuckles around.
I now weigh every life choice against a brutal scale to ensure i’m not put in that position again. For it was that position that forced me to do the one thing i have only done the once. Back down! I will never do it again. I’m sure i would have still lost, but i wouldn’t feel the burn of regret!!!!
That loss cost me a person and time will never heal that.
I excercise this demon and more in my novels though. I use my stories to show my skewed view of power, money and abuse that i see in my everyday life. My Dookie character lays down a harsh justice for sure, but he never regrets! Nor does he miss a chance to munch a cheese burger or swig some coffee.
