How has a failure, or apparent failure, set you up for later success?
Well sticking with my usual theme, of course. I guess i sent my first novel off to a couple of publishers and either didn’t get a reply or got the run around, but this is pretty normal for the industry.
I did eventually find a great match though. Incunabula Media have worked out awesome. They roll with my ideas and are happy for me to work with them on covers etc. They’re also just really nice. We’ve teamed up to create the Dookie comics. I write and they do the graphics. But now and again we colab on the text and images so its a real team effort.
I reckon finding them has been a real win!
