Due to the lack of family to be returned to on term time holidays, the officials on T n’ T forced her to stay, imprisoned on the island, whilst the other Genzedurs went on holidays. Forced upon their families for between two to six weeks at a time as they were, and up to four times per year. The families tried to stop this ‘barbaric and ancient parenting practices’, as they called it, but to no end. She was given extra lessons during these ‘no term times’, so has ended up too intelligent for her fellow Genzedur’s to accept. At the earliest point she could, she ran away and joined Bruda’s clan in the hills of the Himalalakes District.
