How do you write what people actually want to read?
Well not to toot my own horn, but i have had a few best sellers, so i reckon i know a few things about this.
I write very closely to the manner i speak. I find it helps those that maybe don’t read as much stay with my story. I also like to keep things light, brief and comedic as i skip through the book at pace. That way my readers can enjoy each book in one to two sittings rather that weeks of trolling through pointless crap.
I also focus on ‘dirty’ humour and slang to bring those shock fun moments as well as current political and finacial news from our real world to create comedic rants and basis for battles throughout, helping to keep my story current.
My readers seem to like the parody aspects of my works as i poke fun at the sublime we have to deal with in our daily lives. This, i belive, has kept my loyal base wanting more from my growing Dookie range that currently sits at 5 novels and 2 comics.
